East Troy Electric Railroad

The East Troy Electric Railroad offers scenic rides aboard 15 vintage trolleys through Southeast Wisconsinís beautiful Kettle Moraine State Forest. This landmark nonprofit, volunteer-run railroad operates 10-mile round trips from its East Troy depot and museum to the turn of the century-styled depot at the Elegant Farmer in Mukwonago. Riders can detrain to enjoy this full service farmerís market with delicious foods before returning to East Troy. For those wanting to know more about this yesteryear 19th and 20th century mode of travel, the depot features a memorabilia museum, fully running model railroad lay-out and gift shop. In addition, the trolley barn is open for public viewing during operation hours. In the barn, visitors can view the extensive renovation efforts being executed by a fleet of dedicated volunteers at this historical preservation museum.
